Portuguese Week at Dunas Douradas Beach Club

Portugal's National Day, officially "Day of Camões, Portugal and the Portuguese Communities", marks the date of 'Luis de Camões' death in June 10, 1580 and is Portugal's National Day. Camões wrote the Lusiadas, Portugal's national epic poem celebrating Portuguese history and achievements. Although it is only officially celebrated in Portugal, Portuguese descendents throughout the world celebrate the holiday whether they live in Brazil, India, the US, Canada, another European country, or Macau.



Here, at the Beach Club we decided to dedicate the whole week to the theme. We are organising a Portuguese Week between the 6th and the 13th of June. We have lots of surprises and special events planned for you. So, join us and enjoy:

A small "Tradicional Market"

During this week, we will have a traditional market on our terrace,
with stalls selling typical portuguese products.
Open every day from 6.00 pm to 11.00pm.


A Fado Night - 10th June

On the 10th of June we will celebrate Portugal's National Day
with a special dinner of typical Portuguese dishes and
Live Fado Music.

A Ranch folk night - 13th June

We have saved the Ranch Folk Night for the "grand finale".

About the Location

Dunas Douradas lies in a privileged position in the Algarve's golden triangle; nestled between Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, right on the beach front overlooking the ocean.

Dunas Douradas Beach Club is a 15 minute drive from Faro International Airport and costs around 20 Euros in a taxi.

While having a car when you are here is a luxury for food shopping or sightseeing, taxis are relatively inexpensive if you want to travel outside the area, and many places are within walking distance of the resort. Carnival & Easter at the Beach Club

Happy New Year to you all!
2008 was a year full of activities and fun times, we all gave our best and the resort has become a meeting place to socialize, to enjoy good gastronomy, to get fit but more important, a place to make friends.
2009 will be for sure a remarkable year, with alot more activities and surprises to come.
To start the year with the right foot, we are preparing the callendar for Easter, Carnival and Valentine's Day .
On Saturday, the 21st of February we will have a special menu with live music.
On Monday the 23, Carnival night we will have a buffet with carnival dance floor and costumes party.
