Portuguese Week at Dunas Douradas Beach Club

Portugal's National Day, officially "Day of Camões, Portugal and the Portuguese Communities", marks the date of 'Luis de Camões' death in June 10, 1580 and is Portugal's National Day. Camões wrote the Lusiadas, Portugal's national epic poem celebrating Portuguese history and achievements. Although it is only officially celebrated in Portugal, Portuguese descendents throughout the world celebrate the holiday whether they live in Brazil, India, the US, Canada, another European country, or Macau.



Here, at the Beach Club we decided to dedicate the whole week to the theme. We are organising a Portuguese Week between the 6th and the 13th of June. We have lots of surprises and special events planned for you. So, join us and enjoy:


Daily Specials

Our chef will dedicate each day of the week to a specific
Portuguese region with typical dishes.



A small "Tradicional Market"

During this week, we will have a traditional market on our terrace,
with stalls selling typical portuguese products.
Open every day from 6.00 pm to 11.00pm.


A Fado Night - 10th June

On the 10th of June we will celebrate Portugal's National Day
with a special dinner of typical Portuguese dishes and
Live Fado Music.

A Ranch folk night - 13th June

We have saved the Ranch Folk Night for the "grand finale".
