Kids Club Activities for the Easter holidays

Dunas Douradas Beach Club is an excellent choice to spend some quality time with the family over the Easter holiday.

Top 25 Luxury Hotels in Portugal

During the last week, the leading hotel review website, “Trip Advisor” published their lists of the 25 top luxury hotels in various countries under the title “Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice 2013”. 
It is with great pride that the Dunas Douradas Beach Club is listed among Top 25 Luxury Hotels in Portugal. Of the 25 luxury hotels listed for Portugal, there are only six in the Algarve, with the Dunas Douradas Beach Club being the highest ranking of them. We are the only resort listed in the Almancil / Quinta do Lago / Vale do Lobo area. 
The Dunas Douradas Beach Club has received 69 reviews from clients, 58 excellent, 10 very good and 1 satisfactory, giving a ranking of nº 2 of all hotels in the area. 
Nowadays, the power of the internet is tremendous. Nearly all of our new bookings are derived, directly or indirectly, through this medium, with our website www.ddbc.pt at the centre of attention. The last two months has seen a dramatic increase in “clicks” on our site with most coming from traditional markets, but with a high level of interest coming from Germany and France, as well as the British, Irish and Norwegians.

Sérgio Ribeiro is now part of the Louletano/Dunas Douradas cycling team

The Dunas Douradas Beach Club management is very proud to announce that Sérgio Ribeiro is now part of the Louletano/ Dunas Douradas Beach Club cycling team, as team leader.
Sérgio is originally from Matosinhos (North of Portgual ), is 32 years old and won important tours both in Portugal and Spain in recent years. He was elected Portuguese cyclist of the year in 2011 and 2012, being considered one of the favourites for a medal position in the Tour of the Algarve 2013.
The Louletano / Dunas Douradas cycling team is part of a group of five teams that presented to the Portuguese Cycling Confederation the proposal for a Continental project, along with Carmim- Prio, Efapel-Glassdrive, LA Alumínios Antttart and the OFM-Valongo.
We wish Sérgio and all of the Louletano / Dunas Douradas Beach Club team every success in their campaign in 2013.

Almoço em homenagem à D. Fernanda Coelho Vidal

A Directora Geral do Dunas Douradas Beach Club, Sra. D. Evy Ougendal,  organizou um almoço no dia 1 de Fevereiro, em homenagem à D. Fernanda Coelho Vidal que, após quase 20 anos de trabalho e dedicação à esta empresa, reformou-se no final do ano de 2012.

O almoço foi realizado no Restaurante Monte da Eira em Loulé, onde estiveram presentes muitos colegas de trabalho que quiseram assim, conviver uma vez mais com a D. Fernanda e desejar-lhe as maiores felicidades nesta nova etapa da sua vida.

O discurso proferido pela D. Evy foi o "ponto alto" da almoço, no qual não faltaram flores, uma singela prenda oferecida pela D. Evy e pelo Sr. Per Vibe Amundsen, de um modelo de uma "embarcação Viking" e, até uma sessão de fotografias improvisada.

A D. Fernanda trabalhou no Departamento de limpezas por alguns anos até receber a promoção para a posição de Chefe da Lavandaria. Nos últimos três anos, era responsável pelo controle e distribuição de roupa no aldeamento. Sempre foi uma pessoa muito dedicada, responsável e considerada pelo colegas e pela gerência.

Queremos deixar aqui os votos de felicidades e saúde para esta nova fase de sua vida.

The Olympic Games 2012 will be remembered as the year of the greatest Olympic Games. But, as London hands over to Rio de Janeiro, the Dunas Douradas Beach Club is having its own Olympics celebration to round off the year.
We will be toasting the achievements of the best athletes at the London games, finishing off with a little bit of Brazilian flavour and Rio style fireworks. The wine, though, will definitely be Portuguese.
